Lifeguard
This part-time position operates as part of the Aquatics Department.
Under the direction of the Aquatics Coordinator, lifeguards will supervise the aquatic area to prevent accidents, assist swimmers, and keep the area and facilities clean. Lifeguards will create a safe and enjoyable atmosphere to give members a sense of belonging. Lifeguards must be reliable, courteous, and ready to act. Lifeguards must demonstrate the core values of YMCA’s Character Development: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
Requirements: Current Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid Certifications
Day Camp Counselor
Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator and Youth and Family Director, this person will be part of a team which is responsible for planning and facilitating the daily operation of Summer Day Camp.
Requirement: CPR and First Aid Certifications, Lifeguard Certification favorable but not required. YMCA may provide these trainings for selected candidates, speak with Troy for details.
Child Care Aide
The worksite for this position is at the YMCA Child Care Center at 2200 23rd St. NE in Willmar. This position is responsible for assisting the Room Coordinator in the Infant, Toddler, Preschool and Kinder Stars programs and contributing to the overall goals and mission of the Kandiyohi County Area Family YMCA.
